This is a report on the status of CTDB, similar to that presented at some previous sambaXP conferences. As usual, this presentation will look back and summarise progress since the most recent presentation (in 2022). It will also look forward and attempt to present a realistic path for further development.

Interesting developments include cluster lock reliability improvements, the ability to read the nodes list from a command, failover enhancements, NFS lock recovery rewrites, and low-level tweaks to support a wider variety of network configurations.
