Chocolate penguins

1960

These guys are actually chocolates. They are missing three of their relatives because Martin ate them! We did save the wrapper of one of them, but I think it is now gone… Again a Xmas present from my parents.

Asian penguin

1959

This penguin came from an Asian giftware/ornament type shop. I think the pattern is a classic Asian type thing, but I can’t find any info to support this at this stage…

Wind up penguin

1955

This is a little metal wind up penguin. You wind him up with a key and he walks… He is very cute, but a little unstable on his feet! It was a gift from some friends.

Little penguin cross stitch

This is a little framed penguin cross stitch that I did. I am still working on a very large penguin cross stitch – all that black and white is hard on the eyes!!

Glowing penguin keyrings

1945

These penguin keyrings glow when you press the button in their backs – they look kind of spooky! They came from the penguin shop at the end of the penguin exhibit at Sea World in San Diego. We had a hard time in that shop – so many penguins to choose from. We ended up going through the penguin exhibit twice and it was great fun – but it meant we went into the shop twice – but we were sensible and only shopped once and were very selective in our choices…

Gus and Waldo are penguins. This is their book of penguin sex. It is strange, yet you cannot look away… We saw it and it had to become part of the collection…

The amazing walking penguin pooper

1938

We have three of these! One was a gift for Martin from me, one was a gift from my parents and one was a gift from some friends – all around the same Xmas! They are all in their packets. Hope they are a collectors item one day!
